Sweeney Todd
Stephen Sondheim's bloody masterpiece is dragged into the sirens, blitz and bobbies of smoky 1940's London.
Sweeney Todd, a barber who serves a dark and a vengeful god, returns to London after 15 years of exile to seek revenge against the corrupt judge who wrongfully imprisoned him and took his wife. With his landlady Mrs. Lovett, Sweeney begins murdering his customers and having Mrs. Lovett bake their bodies into her pies, which become a popular local delicacy. As Sweeney's thirst for vengeance grows, the body count rises.
